Taste of Poland: with Bella Jakubiak Winner of My Kitchen Rules Season 2

On Thursday 23 February, Polish Australian Business Forum (PABF) hosted its first event for 2017 in Sydney. Over 50 guests attended ‘Taste of Poland’ and were taken on a sensory journey to enjoy the culinary delights of Polish cuisine.

‘Taste of Poland’ was hosted at the popular Polish restaurant, Na Zdrowie, where guests sampled a menu of eight traditional dishes including the Polish classics—pierogi (dumplings), bigos (hunter’s stew) and kielbasa (smoked sausage).

While enjoying tasty treats, guests also had the opportunity to network with like-minded business leaders and learn something new about the understated beauty of Poland.

PABF’s special guest was Bella Jakubiak, one half of the successful team who won the 2011 series of the Channel 7 television cooking competition, ‘My Kitchen Rules’. Bella is of Polish descent, and spoke to the group about her passion for food, and how she is inspired by her grandmother who passed down important Polish traditions, as well as expressing love and affection through food. Bella treated guests to a delicious surprise dessert which was a modern take on a Polish sernik (cheesecake).
