On Thursday 18 May, the Polish Australian Business Forum (PABF) hosted another event for 2017 at the Polish Consulate in Sydney.
The event attracted more than 40 guests to hear insights on, and discuss the topic, ‘Your professional career success’.
The audience gained valuable knowledge from three presenters, Navleen Bhatia, Agata Wypych, and Shelley Duffy, each giving their expert takes on the subjects of how to best position oneself for global mobility career opportunities, personal branding and ideas on standing out from the crowd, and the recent changes to the 457 visa.
“Having such esteemed presenters and the chance for the Polish-Australian community to come together and gain information on matters which are currently impacting them is the objective of the Forum” said Stefania Lasek, coordinator for the forum.
Following the presentations and lively Q&A session, guests had the opportunity to mingle, network and discuss career challenges with their peers.
While we want to provide this valuable service to our members we also see this social aspect as important in our mission. This is where not only business connections are forged but friendships are made and ultimately that’s what we want to see, a stronger Polish ex-pat community here in Australia.
We’d like to take this opportunity to thank our attendees and speakers and also the Polish consulate and the Consul General for hosting the event and our sponsor ‘Na Zdrowie’ restaurant for their continued and invaluable support.
