"Every time I work with the Intercultural Innovation awardees and see the amazing work they are doing, I feel both inspired and grateful to be a part of their journey. BETINA SZKUDLAREK Associate Professor at the University of Sydney |
Dr Betina Szkudlarek is an Associate Professor in Management at the University of Sydney Business School, where she has been highly acclaimed for her research and teaching, as well as leadership of the Master of Management Program, which has been touted as the best management program in Australia by the Financial Times and The Economist and number 1 in Asia by the QS World University Ranking.
She has made a considerable contribution to building better futures for refugees by lightening barriers to employment for new Australians and beyond. However, it has been her focus on cross-cultural management and international human resource management that dominates her professional career.
Alongside her academic career, Betina simultaneously holds the post of Strategic Planning, Sustainability and Growth Consultant with the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) and as a mentor in the UNAOC Intercultural Leadership Program. Here, she works with UNAOC and the BMW Group and their Intercultural Innovation Awards to recognise the most innovative grassroots projects that encourage intercultural dialogue worldwide.
She is a keen public speaker and regularly presents at conferences as well as being widely published both academically and in the mass media with the Wall Street Journal, The Australian Financial Review, the Sydney Morning Herald, The Australian and more.
