We’re super excited to announce the first PACC Education and Research Session of 2026, resuming both online and in person on Wednesday, 4 February. This session brings together two outstanding speakers whose work spans cutting-edge science and profound social impact:
Prof. Ala Tabor (University of Queensland)
A leading researcher in molecular microbiology and biotechnology, Prof. Tabor’s work focuses on animal health and biosecurity, addressing challenges critical to agriculture and global food security.
Presentation title: My career as a researcher developing solutions for animal health navigated while a volunteering as a leader for the polish community.
Dr Damien Stewart (La Trobe University / University of Warsaw/Poland at War Tours)
An Australian psychologist, sports psychologist and researcher of intergenerational trauma, Dr Stewart is currently based in Poland and will share insights into the psychological and cultural dimensions of trauma across generations. Damian is also a Director of Poland at War Tours, a collection of tours designed to educate people on the occupation of Poland, the Holocaust, and Polish resistance during WWII.
