"I really come back with my memories very often to those tours with Poznan Cathedral Choir. I think it’s because, first of all, I love choral music and choral music was always at the top of my interests."

KRZYSZTOF CZERWINSKI

Music Director at Macquarie Chapel Presbyterian Church

Krzysztof Czerwinski is a determined and humble musician whose career as an organist has led him to win numerous top, international competitions. He has played in many of the major venues in Poland, broadcast and recorded for Polish radio and television and performed in Russia, France, Holland, Austria, Germany, England, the USA and Australia.

In recognition of Krzysztof’s artistic attainment, the Minister of Culture and Arts in Poland awarded him the Music Prize in 1998. In 2000, he also received the Minister of Culture and National Heritage Music Award in the King’s Castle in Warsaw.

He started his career at the age of seven, studying piano and gradually gaining fourteen qualifications across organ, choral conducting, orchestral conducting, voice, vocal pedagogy, children’s voice pedagogy, church music and historical performance practice.

Krzysztof studied at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music (The University of Sydney) from 2008 to 2011 and was awarded a full scholarship prize (“Henderson Coursework Scholarship”), which funded his conducting studies with Professor Imre Pallo.

After being granted a Distinguished Talent Visa (Permanent Residency) by the Australian Government, he now permanently resides in Sydney and works as the Music Director at Macquarie Chapel Presbyterian Church.

Krzysztof frequently travels to Poland as the Artistic Director of the Komorniki Festival of Organ and Chamber Music (a summer series of concerts held annually in Greater Poland), which he established in 2006.
